STUDIO AND PAYMENT POLICIES

CANCELED LESSONS AND MAKE-UP LESSONS

• Students are eligible for a limited number of make-up lessons over the course of a given term, providing 24-hours notice of cancellation is given to the instructor. Make-up lessons must occur before the end of the current term and will not be carried over into the future term. The terms are as follows:

  • Fall 2022 (August-December 2022): 1 make-up lesson during the 5-month term

  • Winter 2023 (January-May 2023): 1 make-up lesson during the 5-month term

  • Summer 2023 (June-July 2023): 1 make-up lesson during the 2-month term

• Make-up lessons that are not completed by the end of the term are considered forfeited.

• Private lessons canceled with less than 24-hours advance notice will not be made up by the instructor and will be considered forfeited. Refunds will not be issued for such lessons.

• Any lesson or class canceled by the instructor will be made up without penalty to the student.

• Missed make-up lessons are not eligible for another make-up lesson.

• In the event that make-up lessons are difficult to schedule in-person, the teacher reserves the right to deliver the make-up lesson online rather than in-person.

LATENESS

If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the instructor is not obligated to continue waiting for the student and the lesson will be forfeited. However, if notice is given directly to the instructor via phone/text or email that lateness is to be expected, the instructor will wait as necessary. Note that the instructor cannot extend the lesson past the agreed-upon lesson timeframe.

BOOKS

Students will need to purchase the required books, materials or supplements.

PAYMENT POLICIES

Payments must be made for the full month on the first lesson of the month via CASHAPP ($IanSlentz). An invoice with the total for the month will be sent via CASHAPP by Mrs. Alexandra on the day of the 1st lesson of the month. There will be a 10% discount for a full-term payment. This winter term runs from January 6th to June 2nd. Payments may also be made in cash.

FEES

A 30 minute lesson is $30 - A 45minute lesson is $40 - A 60 minute lesson is $50. All pricing is in USD.

DISCONTINUING LESSONS

Our goal is that every student should love their music lessons. We often love what we are good at, which is why we require a full-session commitment to music lessons; achieving excellence in music takes time! For this reason, it is our desire to see every student complete the session of lessons to which they have registered for. If a student drops out before the end of the month they have payed for, a refund will not be issued for the lessons the student has chosen to forfeit.
